Best wishes to you Lady Lee. I have always appreciated the information and the time you spent putting it out on the site. I also enjoyed reading your book and you have been through a lot during your life time. You have helped many downtrodden and given them the much need help. My Final Goodbye
by Lady Lee ini want to start by saying i will not participate in discussion here about my resignation as a moderator at jwn.. simon please consider this as my resignation from that position.. i have been posting on this board for almost 12 years.
i know some of you a lot, others a little and some not very well at all.
i have remained here for those of you who have needed support as you make the transition out of the wts, who needed someone to listen to your experiences of abuse at the hands of jehovah's witnesses, and to both laugh and cry with you as you progress out of the watchtower society.. we know that we have all experienced the cruelty of abuse of one kind or another.

I too have a regret that has haunted me for years. At a DC I was in the restroom and a woman came in with a little 2-3 year old and took a belt and beat the living daylights out of him. I came out of the stall and was so upset and made it known I was not happy, i was literally shaking from hearing the beating. The other sisters in the restroom were in shock by what happened too. Well this woman with the child was sitting behind us with her mother and I was very vocal when I told my husband what I had witnessed. They got up and moved to another row but I regret to this day that I did not go to those in charge, I can only imagine what that little child suffered behind closed doors. After that I told myself I would never let something like that ever continue and I didn't care if they were a JW or not I would take action.
Parents are discouraged from allowing their children to color in coloring books at meetings.

After spending 30 years believing what the WTBTS told us and finding out most if not all of it is false and a bunch of crap, I am leaning towards not believing in the God of the Bible. There are so many thing that don't make sense and I have found so much relief not following any religion. I don't like their control. Where is the love, I sure never found it with the witnesses, on the contrary they were very unloving and a self centered group of people. They messed with my mental health which resulted in my physical health going so far down hill. I have been happy since getting out from under the nonsciense of that crazy religion. My greatest regret was not seeing it 30 years ago before I lost so many years of happiness with My family who were so afraid they would lose me to the cult for good.

by His Excellency inattraction isn't the glue that holds couples together, and there have even been scientific polls and studies taken on this.
that initial attraction *typically* doesn't last more than a few months.
though attraction keeps you interested long enough to get to know someone and build a relationship with him/her.. but my question is this, how long does the attraction lasts in new couples, before they get bored with each-other?..

A newbie...

i am 3rd gen born in but have been inactive for a few years but always had the intention to make another go of the truth, but not now that i know ttatt.
i became inactive due to the inhumane treatment from family members who are elders.
